After the fall of Mongol Ilkhanids in Iran, there emerged movements as social-religious reactions against the existing conditions, which entered political struggles with a Shiite-Sufi approach, leaning towards Mahdawiyyat and Waiting or claim of advent of the promised savior.

The writer has investigated and analyzed the sources to show that the religious thought (messianism) and the related political behavior has played an important and unique role in the abovementioned development, especially from the time the Safawid order was presided over by Sheikh Junayd.
