The present article aims at investigating the Shiite security view with an emphasis on martyr Beheshti’s thought. It investigates the subject through inference. This method is principally based on understanding and analyzing the works written by Dr. Beheshti in the sphere of his thought school. One of Dr. Beheshti’s main goals in most of his discussions and activities is to direct human beings and the human society towards true security, aimed at humans’ eternal survival. The scope of security discussions is a broad one in his works, including the philosophy of security, the legal discussions of security, management of security issues, the ethics of security, security discussions in the Quran, and mystical view of security. The theoretical framework of four causes is the theoretical support for the discussions presented in this article. According to that framework, security – as a contingent issue – has four causes: material cause, formal cause, agent cause, and ultimate cause. The writer has tried to investigate the Shiite security view, with an emphasis on Dr. Beheshti’s thought, in the four abovementioned axes.
