This was because the related writers would regard the Prophet’s companions as the mediator between the Prophet and the nation as well as persons familiar with the Prophet’s Sunnah and way of life. But writings about the Prophet’s companions done in various regions were influenced by the intellectual-political trends and were compiled in a variety of forms. This impacted those works both in quantity and content. Those intellectual-political trends caused those writers, in seeking to resolve and confront those thoughts, to transmit some traditions from the companions that would confirm their favorite ideology or would marginalize unwelcome discourses in society. The present study seeks to analyze the method of reviving used in the book entitled <em>al- Isti’ab</em> in translating the first caliphs to show that although this book deals with a reflection of the very traditions in the early centuries AH, the selection, compilation and the way of applying its vocabularies was formed to boycott or highlight some of the companions to give a definite answer to the political-religious process of the time or to move in confirming those processes and ideologies.   صحابه‌نگاری که به طور جدی از قرن سوم هجری آغاز گشت، با ورود اسلام به سایر سرزمین‌های اسلامی راه یافت؛ زیرا صحابه‌نگاران، اصحاب را واسطه میان پیامبر و امت و نیز آشنایان به سنت و سیره رسول خدا9 می‌پنداشتند. اما صحابه‌نگاری‌هایی که در مناطق مختلف تدوین شد، تحت‌تأثیر جریانات فکری ـ سیاسی، شکل‌های مختلفی به خویش گرفت و علاوه بر کمیت و حجم، در محتوا و روایات این آثار، تأثیرات بسزایی برجای نهاد. این جریانات فکری ـ سیاسی، سبب گشت تا صحابه‌نگاران در پی حل، پاسخ‌گویی و یا مقابله با این تفکرات، روایاتی را از اصحاب انعکاس دهند، که در جهت تأیید ایدئولوژی مورد توافق خویش و یا در راستای حاشیه‌رانی گفتمان‌های نامطلوب جامعه باشد. پژوهش پیش ‌روی، تلاش خواهد کرد تا شیوة بازیابی الاستیعاب در ترجمه خلفای نخستین را تحلیل کند تا نشان دهد که اگرچه این کتاب، به بازتاب همان روایات سده‌های نخست هجری می‌پردازد، گزینش، چینش و چگونگی کاربرد واژگان آن در جهت طرد و یا برجسته‌سازی برخی از اصحاب شکل گرفته است تا به فرآیند سیاسی ـ مذهبی زمانه پاسخ قاطعی دهد و یا در جهت تأیید این فرآیند‌ها و ایدئولوژی‌ها حرکت نماید<strong>.</strong> https://www.shiitestudies.com/article_46553_67a830716aad8b9637849d11259244ed.pdf
