And in three decades of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, i.e. from 1978 to 2008, this had a significant manifestation. The effect of the Shiite culture, especially the Ashura incident, on drawing in contemporary Iran is quite evident. Flags, weapons, roadsters, and the red and green colors in those paintings are all sign of stating events that are deeply rooted in the Shiite culture. The signs in the form of symbols are strong bearers of describing events and the Shiites’ being oppressed; and the revolution’s painting uses those signs and their concepts to communicate with the addressees through a figurative language. As to the content, the most important feature of the revolution’s painting is its use of the Shiite themes. In this article, while compiling and completing the opinions of the researchers on the content of the Shiite religious themes in three decades of revolution’s painting, we have studied the works pertaining to these years through an investigation and analysis of the content of the themes and the textual data in tables and diagrams. The investigations show that the content of the works have mostly been influenced by the Shiite doctrines and thoughts; and as for the technique and method of performance, those artworks have been created in a mixed form of realism and symbolism. اندیشه شیعی در چند دهه اخیر، تأثیر انقلابی و ساختارشکن بر نقاشی معاصر ایران داشته و در سه دهه از عمر انقلاب یعنی سال‌های 57 تا 87 شمسی، نمود خاصی یافته است. تأثیرپذیری نقاشی ایران معاصر از فرهنگ شیعی و در رأس آن واقعه کربلا آشکار و هویداست. بیرق­ها، سلاح­ها، مرکب­ها و رنگ­های سرخ و سبز در این آثار، همگی در حکم نشانه­هایی برای بیان وقایعی هستند که از فرهنگ شیعی سرچشمه می­گیرند. نشانه­ها در قالب نماد و سمبل، محملی توانا و گویا برای شرح وقایع و مظلومیت شیعه هستند و نقاشی انقلاب به­مدد این نشانه­ها و مفاهیم آن­ها به زبان استعاری، با مخاطب رابطه برقرار می­کند. به­لحاظ محتوایی، به­کارگیری مضمون‌های شیعی مهم‌ترین ویژگی بارز نقاشی انقلاب است. در این مقاله، ضمن جمع­بندی و تکمیل دیدگاه­های پژوهش­گران در مورد محتوای مضامین دینی شیعی در سه­ دهه از نقاشی انقلاب، آثار مربوط به این سال­ها از طریق بررسی محتوای مضمون و اطلاعات متن جداول و نمودارها تجزیه­ و تحلیل می­شوند. بررسی­های انجام­شده، نشان می­دهد که محتوای آثار بیش­تر تحت‌ تأثیر اندیشه و آموزه­­های شیعی بوده و از لحاظ تکنیک و شیوه­ اجرا نیز این آثار عمدتاً به­صورت ترکیبی در قالب سبک­های رئالیسم و سمبولیسم آفریده شده­اند. https://www.shiitestudies.com/article_44857_6b01ece24ac11c79b7243abad09f7537.pdf
