They are two writers who – regardless of their different religious leanings – were religiously tolerant persons. Here, we investigate and analyze the views of those two expositors regarding one of the most important and the most sensitive sermons of Nahj al-Balagha using descriptive-analytical method. According to the findings of this study, both writers were seeking to create sympathy and attachment between various Islamic denominations, avoiding divisive things. The practical manifestation of this purified thought and sense in the two expositions was different; that is, Ibn Meytham Bahrani avoids reporting many traditions and historical reports which they regard divisive to achieve that goal, and uses a peaceful language. Ibn Abil-Hadid, however, has brought more historical reports in his expositions, and has – of course – observed the religious feelings of both the Shiites and the Sunnites in his investigation and analysis of the historical reports. He has previously mentioned what has led to reprehending the caliphs by Imam Ali, but seeks to justify the caliphs’ actions.   ابن‌ابی‌الحدید و ابن‌هیثم، دو شرح از معروف‌ترین شروح نهج‌البلاغه را در قرن هفتم هجری نوشته‌اند؛ دو نویسنده­ای که فارغ از گرایش مذهبی متفاوت، اهل تسامح و بردباری بوده­اند. در این تحقیق با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی، آرا، نظریات و دیدگاه‌های این دو شارح را درباره یکی از مهم‌ترین و حساس­ترین خطبه­ های نهج­البلاغه بررسی و تجزیه و تحلیل می­کنیم. بر اساس یافته ­های این پژوهش، هر دو نویسنده به فکر ایجاد انس و الفت در بین مذاهب مختلف اسلامی بوده­ و از امور تفرقه­انگیز احتراز داشته­اند. نمود عملی این اندیشه و حسِ پاک در دو شرح، متفاوت جلوه ­گر شده است؛ بدین معنا که ابن‌میثم بحرانی برای رسیدن به این هدف، از ذکر بسیاری از اخبار و گزارش­های تاریخی که آن‌ها را باعث درگیری و تفرقه بین مسلمانان می­داند، صرف‌نظر می‌کند و مطالبش با لحنی مسالمت­آمیز است؛ ولی ابن‌ابی‌الحدید به نسبت اخبار تاریخی بیش‌تری را در شرحش آورده و البته در بررسی و تحلیل گزارش‌های تاریخی، احساسات مذهبی هم شیعیان و هم اهل‌سنت را رعایت کرده است. وی آن‌چه را که باعث مذمت خلفا در کلام امام شده، بیش‌تر ذکر کرده، ولی درصدد توجیه و تأویل اقدامات خلفا برآمده است. https://www.shiitestudies.com/article_38437_69573e0fbe6e2c4b7409ce92e366d865.pdf
